Steven Lane Burdick, 64 of Ashland passed away on Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2025 surrounded by his family after battling a brief illness.

He was born on August 31, 1961 in Lockport, New York, the son of James and Frances (nee Hansel) Burdick of Parrish, Florida who survive.

Steve graduated from Heritage Christian School, Class of 1980. Following high school, he furthered his education at Stark Technical College.

He retired after more than 30 years in 2018, from Central Investment Corporation, owner and operator of what was then Pepsi Co. During his tenure, he proudly served as Vice President of Marketing and Plant Manager.

Steve married the former Shirley Jane Calver on February 26, 2005. Throughout his life, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Steve loved to plan family bike trips with great detail. He truly was a family man who absolutely adored his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed detailing cars.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mrs. Shirley Burdick of Ashland; his children, Aaron (Shelbi) Burdick of Ashland, Dorraine Lampert (Jay Osborne) of Mansfield, Matt (Kelly) Thayer of Galion; his grandchildren, Bexli “Buddy” and Cole Burdick of Ashland, Alek (Katie) Lampert of Waynesburg, Blake Lampert of Mansfield, Vivian Lampert of Mansfield, and Zach Thayer of Mansfield; two sisters, Pamela (Fred) Kline and Rebecca (Chris Andino) Cotogno, both of Parrish, Florida; and several nieces and nephews, also survive.

A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held in the Spring of 2026.
