NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford took control early and methodically pulled away to hammer Wynford 50-14 Friday night and clinch a share of the Northern 10 championship.

Mohawk’s 50-19 loss to Seneca East left the Eagles tied with Carey atop the conference standings, each with 6-1 marks.

Colonel Crawford (9-1 overall) blew this one open in the first quarter, racing to a 29-0 bulge.

It was 36-7 at halftime at halftime and the running clock kicked in after C.C. opened a 43-7 bulge in the third period.

Brayden Holt fired three touchdown passes and Connor McMichael ran for one score and caught a TD toss for another.

According to Joe Eitel’s ratings, the Eagles will finish fifth in Division VI, Region 23, which clinches a home playoff game next week. If that projection is correct, C.C. would host Reedsville Eastern (7-3).
