BELLVILLE: Judith A. Freeman, of Bellville, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. She was 87.

She was born on September 9, 1938 to her mother Mary Morrison in Jefferson Township, Ohio. Growing up in the area, Judy attended and graduated from Butler High School.

On December 21, 1958 she married the love of her life, Truman P. Freeman. The couple went on to share 46 wonderful years of life, love, and memories together. Now they are reunited in Heaven once again.

Judy was a devoted member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and previously worshiped at Bellville United Methodist Church. Over the years, she served on numerous committees and lovingly organized countless funeral dinners, always finding joy in serving others. A talented homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking. Judy also enjoyed taking bus trips and was an active member of several clubs, including the Red Hat Society, the Samaritan Club, and the Grange. A lifelong Cleveland Indians fan, she rarely missed a game and proudly cheered on her team through every season. With a true servant’s heart, she volunteered generously, especially within her church community. In her younger years, she cared for many local children, sharing her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit with every family she helped.

She is survived by her children Alan (Gretchen) Freeman, David Freeman, Frank (Olga) Freeman, and Adam (Airika) Freeman, grandchildren Ashley (Mike) Greer, Jarrod Freeman, Heath Freeman, LiAnna Freeman, Juan (Maria) Gomez, and Juliana Gomez, great-grandchildren Aubrey Greer and Andres Gomez, brother Fred (Louise) Barr, and sister-in-law she had a special bond with, Judi Freeman.

In addition to her mother, Judy is preceded in death by her husband Truman P. Freeman, as well as numerous in-laws.

The Freeman family will receive guests on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5 pm to 7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Homes. A funeral service honoring Judy will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:30 am, also in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
