Philip Scott Critcher, age 65, of Bellville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 17th, 2025. He was born on August 4th, 1960 to Calvin Critcher and Evelyn (Hayes) Critcher in Cleveland, Ohio.

He married the love of his life, Jennifer (King) Critcher on August 4th, 1990, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, on his 30th birthday. Together they shared 35 years of marriage.

He is survived by his parents Calvin and Evelyn Critcher, his loving wife Jennifer Critcher, children Jonathan (Millie) Critcher, Caroline (Nickolas) Henry, Jessica (Nicholas) Dotson, Zachary Critcher, grandchildren Adelaide Henry and Turner Henry, siblings Kathy (Keith) Marion, Curtis (Wendy) Critcher, Rebecca (Thomas) Peck, many nieces and nephews, loving relatives and cherished friends.

Philip was a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator with over 34 years of dedicated service. During his extensive career, he demonstrated work ethic, tenacity, and a high level of care for residents, their families, and those he worked with. He always displayed a high level of professionalism and quality leadership in each facility where he was employed.

Philip attended Impact Church with his wife Jennifer, was an active member of the Bellville Lions Club, and organized the annual children’s Easter egg hunt in the Village of Bellville.

Philip loved his country, and deeply appreciated the rights and privileges given to him. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, hiking, and immersing himself in nature. He taught all of his children to respect wildlife, and value God’s creation. Time he spent outdoors was time he spent with God. Ultimately, Philip was a follower of Christ who loved his Lord with fervor. Phil spent many mornings studying God’s Word and emulated Jesus’ sacrificial love in his marriage, as a father, and as a Poppa C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bellville Lions Club or Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry.

The Critcher family will receive guests on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5 to 8 pm at Impact Church, 1600 Woodruff Road, as well as on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 10 to 11 am.
