MANSFIELD — Sandra Jane “Sandee” Crowl, age 84, passed away peacefully Monday, October 13, 2025, in her Mansfield home. Born June 9, 1941, in Mansfield to Paul B. and Gloria E. (Raby) Tapper, Sandee was a lifelong resident who poured her energy and affection into the people she loved and the work she did.

Sandee spent nearly all her career as an administrative assistant—her attention to detail and cheerful steadiness left a lasting impression on colleagues, especially during her final decade at North Central Technical College.

At home, she found joy in sewing, caring for her family, and following her favorite teams: The Ohio State Buckeyes and any Cleveland franchise that carried the city’s name. When she could, Sandee and her late husband, Bob, loved to travel—memorable trips included Gettysburg and Niagara Falls. A longtime member of Southside Christian Church, she lived her faith quietly through devotion and service to those around her.

Above all, Sandee was happiest in her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and sister—titles she held close to her heart.

She is survived by her son, Alex Crowl; grandson, Braden Crowl; and brother-in-law, Bill (Patty) Crowl, along with many extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Crowl, on November 17, 2013; and her sisters, Terri Obert and Lindee Webb.

A service celebrating Sandee’s life will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington.

The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Sandee Crowl.
