About the event:
Journey down the beautiful red brick roads of this innovative 1851 railroad town to the Crestline Historical Museum on Saturday or Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7. Touring the Museum is free (donations are appreciated). Located at 400 Scott Street, Crestline, this modern museum has over 15 displays and exhibits. Learn how this small town played an important part in the expansion of the Midwest as it was the crossroads for the Big Four railways. The railroad wasn’t the only significance of this town. It was also visited by important figures such as past presidents. Enjoy viewing sports memorabilia, Super Bowl 47 helmet signed by Coach Harbaugh, baseball star Gates Brown, Coaches Merle Hutson & John DiPietro, and more. There is something for everyone! A feature display is the 36-foot mahogany pharmaceutical unit from 1903 that was in Trory’s Drug Store in Crestline and once graced the halls of Cedar Point. The Museum is open the first and third full weekends Saturday and Sunday, from 2:00 – 4:00. There is no admission (except for tour groups), but donations are appreciated. Tour groups: please schedule by calling the Museum at 419-683-3410. Follow us on Facebook: Crestline Ohio Historical Society.
