On October 11, 2025, Roma Paulsen left this earth for a new adventure. Her wish was to die at home and her loving family was able to be with her until the end. Roma was born on June 24, 1953 to Ralph and Christine Long. She grew up in the Bellville area and graduated from Clear Fork Highschool in 1971.
Roma worked for the city of Mansfield, the Mansfield library and OSR/ ManCI retiring in 2006. Her favorite part of working at ManCI was running the TLDC dog program so pound puppies could find their forever homes. She also volunteered for TLDC after she retired.
Roma is survived by the love of her life, Roger Paulsen. Roma and Roger were married on July 16, 1988. Other survivors include her daughters Michelle (Carl) VanBibber and Christie Rawls; grandsons Brayden Skok and Jaylen Colbert; granddaughter Ciara Cline; sister Gail (Michael) Balser and sister in law, Kathy Paulsen. Special friends Judy and Stan Higgins, special aunt Janet Price, and special cousins Mikel and Rudy Hamilton.
Roma was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandsons Bryce and Heath Skok.
The family wishes to thank everyone that checked on Roma during this difficult time.
A special thank you to Kind Heart Hospice care givers Monica, Gretchen, Donna and Molly.
Per Roma’s wishes, there will be no funeral. She wanted her life to be celebrated and remembered with joy.
