MANSFIELD – What started as a frustration over finding reliable work boots has grown into one of downtown Mansfield’s most trusted shops for workers in the trades.
Chris and Holly Troupe opened The Boot Life® on Oct. 8, 2014, inspired by Chris’s struggles as a journeyman toolmaker searching for durable boots and Holly’s own difficulty finding well-made clothing and all-leather options. Holly pitched the idea of a store, and Chris replied with a grin: “Well, we may not have much, but we’ll be rich in boots and love.”
That spark has carried The Boot Life® for 11 years. Located at 115 Park Ave. W, the family-owned shop, is known for friendly, knowledgeable service and a handpicked selection of boots and apparel. The Troupes take pride in listening to each customer and tailoring recommendations to fit personal needs, whether for safety toe footwear on the job or jeans that last.
The Boot Life® also partners with area employers through voucher and discount programs, making it easier for workers in manufacturing, trades, and safety services to access quality footwear. For those who want even more, the TBL Insider program offers discounts, early access to merchandise, and invite-only events.
