NORTH ROBINSON — Few north central Ohio high school running backs have ever had a night like Connor McMichael unleashed against Seneca East.

The 6-foot, 175-pound standout exploded for 362 yards rushing and four touchdowns to lead Colonel Crawford to a 31-0 beating of Seneca East on Friday night in North Robinson.

McMichael scored all four of his school’s touchdowns, the first two coming in the opening quarter.

The senior All-Ohio candidate ripped off TD dashes of 44 and 20 yards to take C.C. to a 14-0 first-quarter lead.

He added a 73-yard sprint in the second period for a 21-0 halftime lead. McMichael then capped the scoring spree with a 2-yard plunge for a 28-0 bulge in the third quarter.

Joseph Zizzo’s 32-yard field goal started a running clock in the fourth period.

The Eagles ran for 417 yards, compared to 87 yards for the Tigers. Colonel Crawford racked up 492 yards and 15 first downs, compared to 158 yards and 8 first downs for Seneca East.

C.C. improves to 7-0 on the season, 4-0 in the Northern 10. The Eagles travel to Carey next week for a league showdown with the Blue Devils.

The Tigers drop to 4-3, and will face Buckeye Central on Friday night.
