Kenneth “Kenny” Francis Parr, 70, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Avita Health System, Galion Community Hospital. Kenny was born to the late Elden and Avis (Price) Parr on March 15, 1955, in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Kenneth’s heart was filled with affection for John Deere tractors and the nostalgic Americana embodied in Elvis Presley’s music. A true country music enthusiast, he cherished his vast collection of 45 records. He had a particular fondness for classic westerns and cartoons, including his favorite, Scooby-Doo.

A devout member of his church community, Kenneth found joy in singing hymns, often exclaiming “amen” with enthusiasm during services. Known affectionately as “Uncle Kenny” to many, he was a cherished figure in the neighborhood. In his younger years, he would often be seen riding his John Deere lawnmower to pick up sticks or pedaling around on his three-wheeled bike. An avid fisherman, he cherished quiet afternoons by the water, finding peace in nature.

Left to cherish Kenny’s memories are his siblings, Judy Ball of Galion, Phillip (Leona) Parr of Crestline, and Rebecca Fournier of Galion, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with Kenny’s parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, John Parr and Phyllis Ford, and niece, Emma Eyster.

A celebration of life for Kenny will be held at Woodville Grace Brethren Church in Mansfield and will be announced at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his mom at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made out to the Morrow County Board of Developmental Disabilities or the ASPCA.
