MANSFIELD — One lucky ticket could put a Chevy Trax in your driveway — and support local programs.
The United Way of Richland County and Graham Chevrolet kicked off its annual “Win a Chevy” fundraiser Tuesday morning at the dealership, located at 1515 West 4th Street.
This year’s raffle features a brand-new 2025 Chevy Trax, unveiled during the event. Tickets cost $30 each or five for $100, with only 1,000 available. The drawing happens Friday, March 6, 2026, at Graham Chevrolet.
United Way Executive Director Dan Varn said you won’t get much better odds than one in 1,000. Tickets are available to purchase online or at a kiosk inside the dealership.
Raffle fuels local programs
Varn said the partnership with Graham Chevrolet has become a cornerstone of the organization’s fundraising.
“We’re so appreciative of Graham Chevrolet for being part of this event for the sixth year,” Varn said. “It makes a huge difference.”
The raffle has raised more than $100,000 for United Way programs since its start.
Beyond raising money, Varn said the United Way’s mission helps with strengthening childcare, good after-school programs and access to quality healthcare.
Varn stressed that all proceeds stay local, with ‘raise here, stays here’ being their motto.
Chevy raffle highlights community impact
For Graham Chevrolet, the event goes beyond selling cars.
“We are always happy to partner with United Way,” said Ken Williams of Graham Chevrolet. “We’ve had so many interesting stories over the six years.”
Williams said the Chevy Trax is the dealership’s most popular model and a good buy.
He told stories of past winners, including last year’s, who at first thought the call was a prank.
She brought her son in with her to make sure it was a valid deal, Williams said. She then told the staff her late husband was the sun shining down on her that day.
Other winners have included single mothers and families with powerful stories, highlighting the event’s community impact.
United Way Board member Brian White said the raffle embodies the spirit of Richland County, with businesses stepping up to help meet local needs.
United Way Campaign Chair and Owner of Spherion Mid Ohio Beth DeLaney encouraged residents to buy tickets.
“All the proceeds go directly to United Way,” she said. “So go buy your tickets to win this gorgeous car.”
