OLIVESBURG — Crestview’s stingy defense throttled Plymouth, resulting in a 42-0 shutout during Friday night’s Firelands Conference encounter.
It was Homecoming for the hosts, who gave the Olivesburg crowd something to cheer about early. Crestview shot to a 14-0 advantage over Plymouth through the first quarter.
The Cougars opened a 21-0 gap over the Big Red at halftime.

Crestview thundered to a 42-0 lead heading into the final quarter and rolled a running clock all the way home.
The Cougars improved to 4-2 overall, 3-0 in the Firelands Conference. Crestview tangles with Norwalk St. Paul next week in a key league clash.
Plymouth falls to 0-6, 0-3. The Big Red Vikings are at New London next week.
Last season, Ashland Crestview and Plymouth squared off on Oct. 4, 2024 at Plymouth High School.
Recently on Sept. 12, Ashland Crestview squared off with New London in a football game.
