LEXINGTON — Brittany Griffith is bringing body positivity, plant-based beauty, and a sun-kissed glow to Lexington with the grand opening of Happy Naked Co.

Happy Naked Co., a plant-based spray tanning and teeth whitening company, is committed to providing high-quality, sulfate-free, and cruelty-free products. Located at 23 West Main Street, the new location will open on Oct. 1.

Spray tan services range from $50 to $60, with optional additives available. Teeth whitening is priced at $150. To celebrate the Lexington launch, first-time spray tans are just $15.

Story behind Happy Naked Co.

“The name Happy Naked Co. came about one evening while I was in the hot tub with my husband, brainstorming this new adventure,” Griffith said. “He asked me what I’d name the company, and that was the first thing that popped into my head — I knew I had to roll with it.”

Griffith custom mixes solutions based on skin tone and desired tan color, ensuring treatments are safe even for pregnant and breastfeeding clients.

The company also offers body contouring, a full line of aftercare products, and hand-poured soy candles. Griffith said she is continuously expanding offerings, with new services coming soon.

After years in the corporate world, Griffith discovered her true calling in spray tanning.

“I started my spray tanning journey about three and a half years ago,” she said. “After experiencing a professional spray tan locally, I realized I wanted to pursue it as a career.”

She trained professionally and built her company from scratch.

Looking Ahead in Lexington

Originally from Columbus, Griffith and her family sought a slower pace of life and fell in love with Lexington after purchasing a home there.

“After a lot of thought and prayer, I decided to bring my business closer to home,” she said.

Griffith said she is eager to immerse herself in the community.

“I’m really looking forward to connecting with the community and getting more involved in all that the area has to offer,” she said.

The Lexington location marks a fresh start, Griffith said, after closing the Upper Arlington location permanently.

“My vision for Happy Naked Co., is to create a thriving business where people feel welcome, enjoy every visit and become part of a vibrant, supportive community,” she said.

While the company is not currently hiring, Griffith said opportunities may arise in the future.

When she’s not working, Griffith enjoys spending time with her two children and savoring a large iced coffee.

She looks forward to sharing her passion for self-care and body positivity with Lexington residents.
