MANSFIELD — An 18-year-old man was killed Monday after a one-vehicle crash in Mansfield, according to a press release issued Tuesday morning by Mansfield Police Assistant Chief Mike Napier.
Tyson Christopher Adkins, 18, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Mansfield Fire Department personnel, the release stated. Adkins was a Shelby Senior High School and Pioneer Career and Technology Center graduate with the Class of 2025. He was a member of the Shelby High School bowling team.

Mansfield Police said the incident took place at the intersection of Bowman Street and Poth Road at 5:38 p.m.
According to authorities, Mansfield Police officers arrived on the scene and located a red Chevrolet Cobalt in the tree line just east of 770 Poth Road.
The sole occupant of the vehicle had been ejected from the vehicle. Speed and weather conditions are considered contributing factors in this crash, Napier said.
