Dolores J. Cass, age 87, of Galion passed away Sunday September 14, 2025 at Avita Galion Hospital.
Born September 30, 1937 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Doris Hartman. She married Jim Cass on June 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death.
Dolores was the co-owner of The Added Touch in Galion with her sister-in-law Judy Karnes. She had also worked at the Clothes Horse and Midland Insurance as well as Cass Woodworking. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and sang for many years in the choir. She was very active in volunteer work including the Galion Hospital, where she served on the Board, the American Red Cross Galion Chapter, Home Care Matters, Meals on Wheels and serving as a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed traveling, reading and golfing. She belonged to several clubs over the years including Bridge Club, Mothers Club and Garden Club.
She is survived by her three children: daughter Julie (Matt) Petty, sons Bart (Lisa) Cass and Brad (Janice) Cass, grandchildren: Adam (Rachael) Petty, Aaron Petty, Abby Petty, Libby (Charles) Marlow, Nathan (Laura) Cass, Natalie (Mathieu) Aubin, Keith (Nicole Miley) Cass, Kiptyn Cass and Jason Jones, great-grandchildren: Keandre` Marlow, Zavier Marlow, Joycieanna Cooper, Laila Marlow, Clayton Petty, Brylee Petty, Wade Petty, Liam Aubin, Lilly Aubin, Beau Aubin, Laila Cass, Brady Cass, Emmie Jones, and Bristol Jones, great-great-granddaughter Lillianna Marlow and a sister-in-law Judy Karnes.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson John Kevin Cass.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday September 24, 2025 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday with Rev. Shawn Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
