Karen S. Wittman age 82 of Ashland, passed away at UH Samaritan Health Center on September 13, 2025.
Born in Glendale, West Virginia on July 27, 1943, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Leighliter) Blatt. Karen had been a resident of Ashland County most of her life and she was employed at Eagle Rubber and Hedstrom for 35 years before her retirement. She had also been employed at Discount Drug Mart for 11+ years. She had attended the St. Edward Church in Ashland. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, camping, bingo, cruises and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved doing word search puzzles.
On February 1, 1975, Karen was married to Anthony F. Wittman who survives her.
Also surviving are four daughters and three sons: Mary (Reese) Toth of Liberty, West Virginia, Tamara Hillier of Ashland, Margaret (Jeremy) Crone of Ashland, Judith (Aaron) Merle of Nova, Todd (Kathleen) Householder of Ashland, Tracy (Lisa) Butler of Galion and Timothy (Julie) Wittman of Lexington. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, one sister Judith (Michael) Flanagan of Airdairsville, Georgia also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Blatt and one grandson, Andrew Toth.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Abel officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday September 18, 2025, from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
