ONTARIO — The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield and Schmidt Security Pro/Schmidt Fire will host the third annual Field of Honor Ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 12:30 p.m.
The program will take place at the Area Agency on Aging, Ohio District 5, located at 2131 Park Ave. West.
The Field of Honor is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of military personnel and first responders. Flags and dedications will be on display and open to the public from Saturday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 12.
Program highlights include:
- Emcee: Bob Miller
- Music: Douglas Keppler
- Presenting and retiring the colors: 179th Cyberspace Wing
- Invocation: Rev. El Akuchie
- National anthem: Jaslyn Lopez, Miss Ohio 2023
- Flag dedications: Bob Miller
- Remarks: Ontario Mayor Kris Knapp and Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry
- Keynote speaker: Doug Theaker
