Jean D. Thomas, age 93 of Mansfield, passed away into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, August 29, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 21, 1932, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to the late Earl and Shirley (Johnson) Price, and on July 1, 1950, she married the love of her life, Leroy Thomas.
Jean was a loving Christian mother. She loved her family and her church family at Hanna Road Church of God, and she was a very kind and compassionate woman to others. She loved to garden, sew, and love on her grandkids.
She is survived by her children Linda Mobley, Regina (Lowell) Hunter, and Mary (Albert) Hockley; her daughter-in-law Vicki Thomas; her son-in-law Mike Baker; her sister Evalene Thomas; her 7 grandchildren Daniel, Amy, Mark, Tommy, Neal, Ashley, and Lindsey; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her faithful friends Gay Gilliam and Lucille Scaggs, who were always there for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Price and Shirley Price-Fitch; her husband Leroy Thomas; her son Ronnie Thomas; her daughter Beverly Baker; and her brother Earl Wayne Price.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Services will take place at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Church Cemetery.
