ERIE COUNTY — A motorcyclist was killed after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Sandusky Post.
Cade Gwynn, 23, of Huron, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident on U.S. 6 near State Route 61 in Berlin Township of Erie County. The crash took place at approximately 8:58 p.m.
According to the Patrol, Gwynn was driving a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle
westbound on U.S. 6. Andrew Rochleau, 23, of Elyria, was driving a 2014
Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on U.S. 6 and failed to yield while turning left into a private driveway.
The motorcycle then struck the side of the Malibu and Gwynn was thrown off of his motorcycle.
Rochleau, was wearing his safety belt and did not sustain any injuries. Gwynn was not wearing a helmet, the Patrol stated.
Alcohol and/or drug use is not suspected in this crash. The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
