NORTH ROBINSON — Senior Night and Parents Night turned into a big night for Colonel Crawford’s Connor McMichael.
The Eagles’ standout ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns to lift his team to a 28-14 victory over visiting Fairfield Union on Friday night.
McMichael’s 30-yard TD bolt gave C.C. a 7-0 second-quarter lead. Parker Weithman followed with a 23-yard scoring sprint to forge a 13-0 halftime advantage.
McMichael’s 6-yard touchdown blast in the third period, and the ensuing two-point conversion opened a 21-0 gap.
The Falcons got within 21-7 at the end of the quarter, but Roen Thew’s 27-yard dash in the final period put the game away.
Colonel Crawford is now 2-0 and welcomes East Knox to North Robinson next week.
