Carol Jean Reynolds, age 84, of Galion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the Mansfield JAG Nursing Facility, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on February 21, 1941, in Gassaway, West Virginia, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late James D. and Ernestine Wood Workman. Carol was preceded in death by two brothers James and Lloyd. From a young age, Carol carried a deep compassion for others—a trait that would come to define her life and career.

Carol dedicated over 30 years of her life to the State of Ohio, serving in the Mental Health field. She considered this work not just a profession, but a calling from the Lord. With great devotion and tenderness, she cared for those who could not care for themselves, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and service.

Carol was a beloved mother to Kenneth Reynolds and Peggy Sue Exsted, and her love extended deeply into future generations. She is lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren—Kelsey, Kenneth Shane, Tiffany, Zachary, Kaleb, Chelsey, Haley, and Seth—and by her ten great-grandchildren—Kylie, Ma’Sheeka, Ma’Leigha, Da’Mario, Dallas, Khloe, Mackenzie, Madison, Jillian, and Beau.

Her unwavering faith, warm heart, and selfless nature were the foundation of her family and the lives she touched. Carol’s memory will live on through every act of kindness, every prayer whispered, and every life she uplifted.

A private service will be held to honor Carol’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to perform an act of kindness in her memory or to support a local mental health organization in her honor.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Carol is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
