Kaye Ann Jackson, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at Avita Healthcare of Ontario. She was born on March 27, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to the late Kenneth Zimmerman & Dortha Bamfield Zimmerman.
Kaye was a career interior designer, she graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She owned and operated her own design shop named, A Drapery & Design for 45 plus years in Mansfield. She also lent her experience and knowledge in interior design to several statewide home building companies. Kaye took great pride in designing and decorating model homes for potential home buyers. She also drove a school bus for the Lexington School District for 17 years. A talented artist, she loved to paint and do ceramics. Kaye didn’t watch much television but she did enjoy watching all types of basketball including local high school, college and the NBA.
Kaye was a longtime member of the Richland County Chamber of Commerce as well as Altrusa International, Richland County Branch, where local women offered grants to children in local under-resourced communities.
Kaye will be fondly remembered by her son, Chad (Stacy) Jackson; her sister-in-law, Cathy Zimmerman; her two nephews, Matthew (Sarah) Zimmerman and Mark (Brytannie) Zimmerman; two great-nieces, Emma and Elise; her great-nephew, Andrew. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Zimmerman.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
