Nancy A Grubb, 77 of Mansfield passed away peacefully at her will on August 14,2025. Nancy suffered in silence 50 years with debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis. Her family is rejoicing that she is now pain free and her body fully restored through Gods promise in Heaven.

Nancy was born October 8, 1947 in Mansfield to James and Marjorie Smith Newlon. She was a 1965 graduate of St. Peters High School. She married and had children young and truly enjoyed just being a wife and mom. In earlier years she worked at Snow Trails and volunteered at the hospital. She would reminisce about teen dances, bowling league, card club, being a night owl, talking on the phone all night with her sister, lounging at the pool, and crushing on Barry Manilow! Nancy loved being outside with no air conditioning, the sun, and rainbows. She spent her days gardening, taking care of her flowers, enjoying sounds of nature, wind chimes, and feeding hummingbirds.

Her hobbies include nightly Jeopardy!, crossword, holiday baking, putt putt golf, grandkids sporting events and school activities. She was and avid Coca Cola enthusiast from knick knacks to memorabilia, clothes, license plate, always working on framing a puzzle, and drinking a can of Coke with a straw. She was known for her perfect handwriting, chocolate and her “Peachy” nickname and tattoo. Although she was profoundly troubled by some broken relationships, she cherished time, experiences, and memories with her family most.

Survivors include her daughter Dina (Matt) Ambrose: grandchildren Skylar, Jillian and Grayson Ambrose: sisters Jean Strickland and Ginger Spencer: nieces, nephews, and greats; eldest daughter, and her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Grubb and remained a widow since 1996; sister Donna Deskins, and brother Mike Newlon.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23 from 9:00-10:00 am at St Peter’s Catholic Church, 60 S Mulberry Street. A Funeral Mass will then be held at 10:00 am followed by a columbarium burial in Mansfield Memorial Park.
