Viewing the Night Sky

Join the Crawford Park Astronomy Club to view the targets for summer, such as, Leo, Sagittarius, M95, M96, and M13. If the weather is cloudy or rainy, the program will be held in the Nature Center.

Archery

Tuesday, August 26   5-7pm   Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598

Archery has been around for thousands of years, and it is an activity that is still enjoyed today. Join the Crawford Park District for an evening learning about archery safety, shooting basics, and then see how many times you can hit your target. All equipment will be provided. We will have a session at 5pm and another at 6pm. Please call the Crawford Park District at 419-683-9000 to register.

Myriad Mantises 

Wed., Aug. 27   5:30pm   Sandusky Headwaters, 2400 State Route 598

Praying mantises are some of the most fascinating insects in the world, and they are abundant in our tall grasses. Join Crawford Park District Naturalist Donald for a short hike through Sandusky Headwaters Preserve as we look for these fearless predators, as well as beetles, grasshoppers, butterflies, and more.
