Dorothy L. Holbrook, age 91, of Galion passed away Sunday August 10, 2025 at Trustwell Living in Mansfield.
Born January 5, 1934 in Ivyton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Will and Molly (Fletcher) Brown. She married Jack Holbrook on January 22, 1952 and he preceded her in death.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking and was known for her biscuits and gravy and her Thanksgiving meals. She enjoyed sewing and making decorative pillows. She loved dogs and her favorite was Patches, a collie. Her family was her most important joy.
She is survived by son Terry (Danita) Holbrook, two granddaughters Katie (Shawn) Hardin and Jessica (Michael) Gannon, great-granddaughter Lily Gannon, sister Fran Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jack, John, Roy, Buck, Burns and Raymond Brown and her sister Jean Joseph.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday August 15, 2025 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Canakamp officiating. Burial will take place in Iberia Cemetery.
