To the Editor:
After much thought and reflection, I have decided to not turn my petition in and suspend my campaign for Mansfield City School Board.
This decision was not made lightly, as I remain deeply committed to improving the quality of education for every student in our district.
However, due to current personal and professional responsibilities, I do not believe I can put the time forward that a board member should, and I do not want to step into something if I can not give it my all, that is the reason I will be stepping back from the race at this time.
I am incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support I have received throughout this campaign.
I have had the opportunity to speak with many community members who share my vision of strong schools, responsible leadership, and putting students first.
Those conversations have reaffirmed my belief in Mansfield’s potential to grow and thrive through a united commitment to education.
I have to also thank those who supported me by helping to circulate petitions during this time.
Your assistance in this campaign was much appreciated and I am incredibly grateful that I had your trust and confidence.
As I suspend my campaign, I am proud to offer my full endorsement to fellow conservative Rebecca Wayman who will be running in this election for a seat on the School Board.
Rebecca is a dedicated advocate for our community and I believe she would be a great asset to the board. She will support students, teachers, and families, and will certainly protect staff, and that is why she has gained my trust.
I ask that you support her in this race.
Though I am stepping back from this election, I plan to stay actively engaged in supporting Mansfield City Schools and the success of every student.
I will still show up, I will still fight, and I will always be a voice for the students.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Rest assured; this is not the end.
Godspeed,
Brandon L. Polak
