Frances Louella (Williams) Frye Poast, age 86 of Galion, Ohio passed away on Friday August 1, 2025 at the Millcreek Nursing Home in Galion. She was born on August 14, 1938 in Galion, Ohio to the late Altie & Lena (Hale) Williams. On December 19, 1981 she married Donald E. Poast and they shared 41 years together.
Frances loved to play cards, marbles, Uno, Yahtzee (even though she cheated once in a while) and going for car rides. She liked to listen to Dolly Parton and Elvis, read her Bible, watch Dancing With the Stars, The Voice, Shark Tank and HGTV. She made the best potato salad and pink salad, that will be missed at every holiday.
Her proudest achievements were her loving family.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Richard) Beck; grandson, Derek (Lea) Beck; granddaughter, Lisa (Joseph) Perry; great granddaughter, Hanna Perry (Micah Thomas) who both held a special place in her heart; brothers, Orville and John Williams and sister, Wilda Woogerd and numerous, step children, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Poast; her parents, Altie & Lena Williams; brothers, Fred and John A. Williams and sisters, Anne Campo and Evelyn Pfeifer.
Per Fran’s or GG, as her family called her, request that no services are to be held. GG requested she would like her family to remember her in your own special way.
