Evelyn Jean Miller, 89, of Galion, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Mill Creek Nursing Home. Evelyn was born to the late Otto and Bertha (Ruhl) Grogg on July 29, 1935.

Evelyn married Arthur Miller on November 7, 1950. They spent 53 years together while raising their 5 children. Arthur preceded Evelyn on November 20, 2003.

Her passion for life extended beyond her work; she cherished moments spent with family and friends, often gathered around the card table or indulging in their favorite game of Bingo. Christmas was a particularly special time for Evelyn, as she reveled in the joy of family traditions and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

An avid sports fan, Evelyn had a special place in her heart for the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes football, often seen cheering loudly for her teams. She cherished the thrill of dirt track races in Attica, Ohio, creating lasting memories filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Left to cherish Evelyn’s memories are her children: Barbara (John) Thomas, of Galion, Terry (Kim) Miller, of Galion, Kim (James) Wetzel, of Galion, daughter-in-law Lynn Miller, of Lexington, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Along with Evelyn’s parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael Miller.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Gompf Funeral Service-Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. At a later date, burial will take place at Shauck Cemetery, Johnsville.
