Jeffrey I. Freese, age 74, of Galion passed away Friday June 27, 2025 at Spring Creek Nursing Home in Green Springs.
Born April 5, 1951 in Bucyrus, he was the son of the late Billy and Mary (Erfurt) Freese.
Jeff was a 1970 graduate of Galion High School. He worked for many years at Fairway Waycraft in Bucyrus where he participated in softball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, bowling and golf. He won a national championship in volleyball with Special Olympics. He was very passionate about playing golf and often played at New Winchester Golf Course. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and sitting to watch people go by. He loved to drive around in his Mustang convertible and loved his cats.
He is survived by his sister Mollie and his brother-in-law Chuck Braun of Northampton, MA, his brother Norbert Freese of East Lansing, MI, his nephews Ben Freese of East Lansing, MI and Karl Freese of Seattle, WA and his niece Gretchen Anna Braun of Greenville, NC.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Thursday July 3, 2025 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford County Special Olympics or Crawford County Humane Society.
