Eileen L. Nelson, 91, of Mansfield passed away June 17, 2025 at Scioto Community Nursing Home in Columbus.

Eileen was born December 26, 1933 in Bucyrus to George and Emma Nick Christman. She was a payroll clerk for many companies retiring from Ideal Electric. Eileen was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She loved puzzles, making cross-stitched blankets for all the grandkids and cheering on OSU and Cleveland sports teams.

Survivors include children Kathy (Terry) Richardson of Greenwich, Steven (Diana) Nelson of Columbus; grandchildren Heather Edmiston, Joey (Christina Boston) Nelson, Michelle Spurlock, Annie (Trent) Pilmore, Clayton (fiance Liz Wolfe) Richardson, Christopher (Hannah) Nelson; great-grandchildren Bentley, Chase, Jason, Carson, Cayleigh, Kaden, Addilynn, Daniel, Amelia; daughter-in-law Joanne Nelson; many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart and son Mark Nelson.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 5 – 7pm at Herlihy Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am Tuesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 60 S. Mulberry Street. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
