About the event:
This is a photo tour of the life of Wernher von Braun, focused on the people, places, art, and literature that inspired him to pursue his own quest to conquer space. It concludes with von Braun’s own cultural contributions that inspired a new generation of space enthusiasts, including his three nationally televised appearances with Walt Disney. This workshop is led by scholar Larry Bounds who will be portraying Wernher von Braun the evening of July 17.
The workshop will be held at the Ashland County Council on Aging, 240 E. 3rd Street, Ashland.
Ashland Chautauqua’s 5-day Breaking Barriers event runs from July 15-19, 2025 with daytime workshops at various locations and living history performances each evening at Myers Memorial Band Shell at Brookside Park, Ashland. All events are free and open to the public. All event locations are accessible and sensory-friendly.
