MANSFIELD — The Richland Carrousel Park will be hosting a celebration of life for one of its beloved employees on Friday.
Myra McIntyre spent the last 15 years working at the Carrousel, according to her obituary.

A post on the park’s Facebook page described McIntyre as “the sparkle that made our carrousel shine brighter.”
“For years, Myra’s infectious smile and kind spirit have been the music behind our merry-go-round, bringing joy to countless children and families. She wasn’t just an employee—she was the heart of our carrousel community, a friend to all, and a light we’ll miss dearly,” the post read.
“Myra worked at the carrousel for so long, most of us can’t even remember a time she wasn’t there. With all those years came a wealth of knowledge—and somehow, she always managed to pull off a Hail Mary answer right when we needed it most. Her intuition, experience, and calm presence made her simply irreplaceable,” the post continued.
McIntyre’s celebration of life and legacy will take place June 13 at the park, 75 N. Main Street, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by emailing richlandcarrouselpark1991@gmail.com.
