It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna Mae (Hoffman) Reigel, who departed this life on June 7th, 2025 at the age of 85.

She was born on September 29, 1939, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to the late Henry and Anna (Wargo) Hoffman. Over the past 62 years, Anna Mae made her home in several Ohio towns including Canton, Mansfield, Galion, Lexington, and Norwalk.

On August 16, 1958 Anna Mae married the love of her life, Franklin Delano Reigel, whom she met at the young age of 14 years old. Together they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage together until his passing in 2002, now they are reunited together again.

She was a woman of many talents, she found joy in life’s simple and beautiful things. Known for her green thumb and a creative spirit, Anna Mae could often be found tending to her garden, quilting by hand, sewing, crocheting, or enjoying a good shopping trip. Anna Mae was also musically inclined, for she knew how to play the organ, guitar, violin, recorder, and the flute. Above all else though, she was a woman of steadfast faith, whose strength and devotion guided her through her long life.

Anna Mae is survived by her children Frank (Jamie) Reigel and Christine Reigel, granddaughter Cheryl Briggs, and great grandchildren Kaleb Groff, Ziva Fout, and Zanden Fout.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandson Logan Lewis.

A graveside service to celebrate Anna Mae’s life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in Shauck Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join together to honor the impact Anna Mae had on this world.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Quilts of Valor Sandusky-Seneca County chapter.
