Robert J. Lane, 85, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was born November 17, 1939, at Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Robert E. Lane and Essie (Parsons) Lane.

Robert reunited with the love of his life, whom he married on October 6, 1959. The two would’ve celebrated 60 years before she passed. Robert was a devoted and dedicated husband, dad, and grandfather. He found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was casting a line while fishing; the satisfaction of mowing his lawn; or relaxing on the porch, soaking in the outdoors. His love for the outdoors was surpassed by the love he had for his grandbabies, who brought immense joy to his life.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Virgil Lane, Christopher (Sherry) Lane, Edith Gramley, and Patricia (Daren) NeZrick; his grandchildren, Amber (Andrew), Breanna, Tommy, Samantha, Christopher, Bobby, Mickey, Eric, Diana, Destiny, Teddy; great-grandchildren, Winter, Karson, Felicity, Mazikeen, Avaleigh, Conner, Vanessa, Arizona, Trinity, Skyla, Alex, Logan, Dameon, Kristie, Sutton, Luxton, Nicklaus and Autumn; his brothers, Ray and Joe Lane; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Karen; his parents; son, Theodore “Teddy” Lane; two brothers; and nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will gather for visitation Monday, June 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location. Robert will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Memorial Park.
