ONTARIO — The third annual Ontario Kids Festival Presented by Sluss Realty takes place on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in an all-new location.

Event organizer and Sluss Realty marketing director, Jami Kinton-Sluss, said she chose The Ontario Center – formerly known as the Richland Mall – parking lot to help generate awareness for the mall.

“There’s so much wonderful momentum for the revitalization of the mall that we wanted to keep driving more families to visit,” Kinton-Sluss said.

The free festival will be the third year for Sluss Realty.

“This event has always been a way for us to give back to the community,” Kinton-Sluss said. “My husband and I grew up here and the community has always been incredibly supportive of our small business that this is a fun way to say ‘Thank you.’”

The Ontario Kids Festival Presented by Sluss Realty features free rides, carnival games, train rides, petting zoo with free food, prizes, extreme trampolines, inflatables and bounce houses.

There will be dozens of vendors, most with a children and family focus, and many with games and activities for kids.

“We also have what we call ‘Agent Alley,’ which features many of our Sluss real estate agents running really fun carnival games – all free – with prizes,” Kinton-Sluss said. “We also have several amazing food trucks, which a portion of all proceeds will go toward the Humane Society of Richland County.

“That organization is completely donation based, and as huge animal lovers, we love to support this non-profit any way that we can.”

The event will take place rain or shine and be located in the parking lot right in front of China Buffet and alongside JC Penney.

The first 500 kids can choose between a free play ball, donated by Hedstrom, or a free book, donated by the United Way of Richland County.

“We want to give the biggest thank you to all of the businesses who help sponsor our event and to the community who continue to show up and join in the fun,” Kinton-Sluss said. “It’s an honor and we look forward to another successful year.
