David A. Montgomery, of Galion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. He was 59.

He was born in Galion, Ohio on June 6, 1965 to the late James and Nora (Rapp) Montgomery. David attended and graduated from Northmor High School before going on to achieve his degree in welding. As an adult he applied his trade working for Cleveland Range for many years.

David had a fascination with tractors, cheering on the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns, and watching NASCAR on Sundays- he was a big Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. One of the greatest joys of David’s life was fulfilling a childhood dream by traveling to Egypt shortly after graduating high school. Exploring the ancient wonders of the pyramids and the Nile left a lasting impression on him, and he often recalled that journey as one of the most unforgettable experiences of his life.

He is survived by his daughter Taylor Montgomery, son Matthew (Kelly) Montgomery, brothers Lester (Judy) Montgomery and Edward (Jan) Montgomery, sister Lori (Scott) Murphy, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife Kimberly Montgomery, and brothers Delbert Montgomery and Larry Montgomery.

The Montgomery family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9 to 11 am at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. A funeral service honoring David will begin immediately after with Minister Jack Kegley officiating. Burial to follow in Iberia Cemetery.
