LUCAS — The newest batch of Lucas alumni turned their tassels on May 25.
A class of 30 graduates received their diplomas on Sunday afternoon, celebrating achievements including military service, career center certifications, and college credits.
Orange carnations were chosen as the class flower, with class colors being black and orange. The class song was “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts.
The invocation was performed by Amaya Howard. Introductions were made by Olivia Brown, Rayden Caudill, Addison Melton and Daniel Hockensmith.
The class salutatorian was Raya Walter, and the valedictorian was Rebekah Case. The commencement address was given by Valorie Mounts.
Rebekah Case also presented the class of 2025’s gift, a 3D mural in the gymnasium painted by Mansfield artist Allison Pence.
