MANSFIELD — Under the direction of Lori Turner, the Renaissance Theatre will present the Renaissance Youth Opera Theatre (RYOT) production of 1001 Arabian Nights for four performances on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, June 29 at 1 and at 4 p.m.
The production will be presented in the Ren’s Theatre 166 space, and is a part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series. General admission tickets are free for adults and students, and are on sale now at the Renaissance Box Office, via phone, and online at rentickets.org.
Audiences are invited to go back in time with this swashbuckling, one-act production, which is full of classic tales like “Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp” and “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves,” as well as music from classical themes by Alexander Borodin.
According to director Lori Turner, “It’s been wonderful to watch these young performers connect with the timeless stories of 1001 Arabian Nights. I can’t wait to see them share their energy and creativity with the audience.”
RYOT productions are offered as an opportunity for participation by students in second through 12th grade; with this production featuring performers who are double-cast in roles within the show–allowing for audiences to attend multiple performances, as the cast changes each time.
