MANSFIELD — The Renaissance Theatre invites families and movie lovers alike to enjoy the return of its free outdoor film series, Pictures on the Plaza, beginning this summer.
Screenings will take place at 8:30 p.m. on June 6 (The Princess Bride), July 9 (The Sandlot), and Aug. 13 (Paddington 2) in the grassy Plaza between the Historic Renaissance Theatre and Theatre 166, visible from Park Avenue West.
Each evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with family-friendly activities hosted in collaboration with Richland Academy of the Arts and Buckeye Imagination Museum.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and enjoy free popcorn during these relaxed, community-centered summer nights.
This year’s Pictures on the Plaza lineup offers a timeless mix of fantasy, adventure, and heartwarming humor.
Audiences can enjoy the beloved classic The Princess Bride on June 6 — a swashbuckling tale filled with true love, giants, and witty banter.
On July 9, The Sandlot transports audiences back to a nostalgic summer of baseball and friendship.
The series wraps up on Aug. 13 with Paddington 2, a charming story of kindness, community, and everyone’s favorite marmalade-loving bear.
