Jerry M. Phillips passed away at his residence, May 19, 2025. He was born to Edward and Theresa Phillips September 17, 1942. He graduated from Saint Peter‘s High School in 1960 and went to North Central Technical College and received an associates degree in computer programming. He worked for PPG Industries for 37 years as a programmer analyst, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and playing golf and cards with family and friends. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Amvets and Sons of Herman.

Surviving include his wife, Sarah, who he was married to for 57 years; his children, Matt (Monica) Phillips of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Amy (Travis) Courson of Monticello, Illinois; grandchildren, Peyton Phillips, Carissa Phillips, Lauren Courson and Lucas Courson; his brother, John ( Sharyn) Phillips; his sisters, Jean (Gail) McKinley, Judy Berry and Joyce (Mike) Dininger; sister-in-law, Harriet Howarth; brother-in-law, Bill (Vicki) Redman and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice Services, 2291 W. 4th Street, Suite G, Ontario, OH 44906 or to Amvets Department of Ohio, Ohio Amvets Charities, 960 Checkrein Ave., Columbus, OH 43229.

There will be a celebration of life at the Amvets Post #26, 1100 W. 4th Street, Mansfield, OH 44903 on June 1, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 PM.
