MANSFIELD — Have you thought about becoming a foster parent? This event is for you.
Kick off the summer with Richland County Children Services (RCCS) for a FREE family fun event for all ages.
RCCS will host a Foster Parent Recruitment Event on Wednesday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Children Services at 731 Scholl Rd. In event of rain, the event will be held inside Malabar Intermediate School, 205 W Cook Rd.
Come out and enjoy an evening of excitement and entertainment. There will be free food, games and prizes for kids, a balloon artist and more. There will be raffles items. Prizes include: 6-month Household Membership for the Y, Rigid Wet/Dry VAC from Home Depot, Samsung Soundbar from ABC Warehouse and assorted items from A Heritage House.
No ticket is required for the raffle, just fill out a foster care inquiry card or be a current foster parent who brings a guest interested in fostering.
The dynamic band The Oolong Gurus will bring the sweet sounds of summer with a variety of music – Rock, Country, Americana and more.
Community partners including the YWCA and Fostering Family Ministries will provide information on foster parent support resources available.
