Jack A. “Papa Honey” Swartz, age 49 of Mansfield, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic. He was born on January 14, 1976, in Mansfield to Jack H. and Cathy L. (Cross) Swartz, Jr., and on August 18, 1995, he married the love of his life, Angela (Bandy).
Jack most recently worked for Uniloy Inc., but previously, he worked for MANCI for 18 years as a prison guard. He enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, and hunting, and he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids. He was the sort of man who didn’t know a stranger. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife Angie Swartz; his mother Cathy Swartz; his children Morgan (Derrick) Slone, Taylor (Michael) Duncan, Paige (Dominick) Swartz, and Wesley (Maddison) Swartz; his grandchildren Rilynn and Quinnley Slone, Harper Sloan, and Jackson and Cathrynn Duncan; his sister Carrie (Jeff) Chio; his nieces and nephews Cody and Raven Festge, Halle Meister, and Elijah Holt; numerous great-nieces and -nephews; and countless friends he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his father Jack Swartz, Jr., and his brother Jason Swartz.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at VFW Post 9943, 806 Grace St., Mansfield.
