MANSFIELD — The Mansfield Homebrew Club, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will participate Saturday in the American Homebrewer’s Association “Big Brew Day.”
The Mansfield Homebrew Club is a local organization of private homebrewers of beer, mead and wine, according to Chris Niswander, club president.
“One of our many activities each year includes participation in the American Homebrewer’s Association ‘Big Brew Day,'” he said.
“Organizations such as ours across the country get together each year in their local areas to brew and provide an opportunity to those who are interested to watch and ask questions about this unique hobby,” Niswander said.
“Big Brew Day” is held annually on the first Saturday of May.
Niswander said the Mansfield Homebrew Club will conduct its “Big Brew Day”from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Beer Garden at the Phoenix Brewing Company, 131 N. Diamond St.
“We encourage anyone who has an interest in brewing to stop by and see local brewers using homebrew equipment. Visitors can feel free to ask questions about brewing and membership in our organization.
“We are always looking for new homebrewers to join the club and this is a great
opportunity to see what we are all about,” Niswander said.
