Barbara Ann Weir, 84
Barbara Ann Weir, 84 of Mansfield passed from this life early Saturday morning, April 19, 2025 in the Arbors of Mifflin.
She was born on July 18, 1940 in Ashland the daughter of the late Lester and Kathryn (nee Swineford) Lease.
Barbara graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1958 and furthered her education and earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 1963 from the Ohio State University.
She was Assistant Vice President and Director of Marketing for Richland Bank from 1978 to 1984. She served on the board of directors for the Marketing Club of North Central Ohio and the Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Throughout her life, she has enjoyed reading and home decorating. In her earlier years, she enjoyed Jazzercise workouts.
Barbara is survived by her loving children, Linda Ann (Brian DeMuth) Weir of Ellicott City, Maryland and John Robert (Susan) Weir of Skaneateles, New York; two grandchildren, Oliver and Miller Weir of Skaneateles, New York; her brother-in-law, William “Bill” Gebhart of Perrysville; and three nephews, Jeffrey Gebhart of Northwood, Jim (Angela) Gebhart of Loudonville and Tom Gebhart of Clarks Hill, Indiana.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her only sister, Mrs. Nancy Gebhart.
Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery with her parents and sister.
