I’ve lived in Ohio for over 40+ years, and I want to see people supported in my state, and not big billionaires getting more tax breaks from the Trump-Musk administration.
Specifically, I’m concerned with cuts to Medicaid and Title X funding which will hurt organizations that help people like Planned Parenthood.
President Trump was wrong to freeze Title X funding that helps low-income families access life-saving reproductive care: birth control, cancer screenings, and STI exams, and while these funds can’t be used for abortion services, I hope one day that changes.
According to the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, 3 million Ohioans, which is 26% of us, or one in four of us, uses Medicaid, so clearly this service is needed.
In March, Gov. Dewine proposed to bring back mandatory Medicare work requirements for some recipients which is harmful because it unfairly targets those already working or those who are unable to work because they are caregivers and places undue burdens on the working poor.
To help, please contact Senators Husted and Moreno and tell them to stop all cuts to Medicaid, Title X, and Planned Parenthood, because our legislators need to protect our health care and hear our voice.
