It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished Kathy Joyce Stutz, a woman whose life was a testament to kindness, resilience and love. Kathy, 75, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 18, 2025, at OhioHealth after a long and courageous battle with lung disease, she was surrounded by her loved ones.
Kathy was born September 6, 1949, in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Virginia (Kash) Bays. She married the love of her life Charles E. Stutz on January 8, 1967, they spent 58 beautiful years together.
Kathy graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School and retired from MedCentral Health System.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family the most, get together, listening to music and dancing. She truly loved to hear her husband singing. And if there was a dance floor, she was on it.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in joining the Lord by her beloved son-in-law Micheal E. Rachel and her treasured friend Flora Jean Adkins.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her husband Charles; daughters Veronica Rachel and Jennifer (Lee) Henderson; grandchildren Amanda (Caleb) Benavides, Alixander Rachel, Josie Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Robert Morgan, Alivia Henderson, Joshua (Kate) Henderson, and Timothy (Heidi) Henderson; great-grandchildren Maximus,
Aria, Lena, Layla and Brantley. Her siblings Beverly (Dennis) Wolf and Joseph (Liezel) Bays, whom she adored throughout her life. Her dear cat Dude; nieces Rachel, Rianne and Madison; nephews Damian and Dalton; several great nieces and great nephews; numerous other family members and countless friends.
We will all miss her trademark kisses and loving pinches.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 25, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM.
