MANSFIELD: American patriot, Army veteran, father, husband and PROUD REPUBLICAN, Joe Miller was not shy about sharing his love for his family, his country and for Donald Trump.
Robert Joseph “Joe” Miller, 88, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025 at the Arbors of Mifflin, following an extended illness.
The son of Henry and Barbara (Whisler) Miller, Joe was born December 11, 1936 in Crestline and graduated from St. Peter’s High School.
Joe served in the United States Army from 1960 -1962 and was honorably discharged.
For 36 years he worked for Pennsylvania Rubber and Supply. Even in his retirement, Joe kept active and his property was kept in pristine shape.
Joe enjoyed hunting when he was younger and taking fishing trips. He was always supporting the Ohio sports teams including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Indians. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Joe is survived by his daughter Susan (Tobby) Shire; granddaughter April (Gary) Coffman; great grandchildren James, Emily, and Abigail; brother William Miller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Miller; and sister Agnus Priess.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 11 am at the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Fr. Kishore Kottana will officiate. Military honors will be performed by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail, at the funeral home, following Joe’s memorial service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
