MANSFIELD: Mike Free was a Jack-of-all-trades. He was so good at everything: electrical work, plumbing, building, as the saying goes: “Master of none” Mike was “better than a master of one.” He was so well rounded in the construction trades; it perfectly complimented his kind heart to help others in a practical way. Mike was compassionate and his kindness extended to everyone and anyone.

Mike passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was 66.

Born Michael Dean Free on May 23, 1958 in Mansfield to his parents Leonard O. and Mary Ann (Hardin) Free, he was graduated from Mansfield Christian School in 1976, and most recently worked as a plumber with Pritchard Plumbing.
