Shirley was born on June 20, 1948, in Crestline, Ohio to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Zellner) Horning.
She dedicated her career to serving others, first as a manager at McDonald’s in Crestline for eight years before continuing her work as a corrections officer at Mansfield Correctional Institution until her retirement in 2005.
