MANSFIELD: Described as funny, caring and kind, Rachel Fagan was devoted to her family and her community. A loving wife and mom, she cherished her husband Cory and three children Emma, Callie and Beckett.
Rachel passed away at home, unexpectedly, Friday March 28, 2025 of a brain aneurysm. She was 39.
Rachel was born October 5, 1985 in Mansfield. Active in her youth, she played softball and basketball and was a member of the Lexington Band of Gold. She met and dated Cory Fagan for 4 years before marrying on August 22, 2009.
A dedicated and hard working Village of Lexington employee, Rachel worked as a police dispatcher (a position that she loved and was proud of). She more recently held the position of Clerk of Court and Assistant Finance Director. Respected by her coworkers, her door was always open to either help or just listen as a friend.
Rachel was a sports mom….and was her children’s biggest fan. She wouldn’t miss a game. Whether soccer or softball, she was on the sideline cheering loud. Active, she loved to exercise and walk her dog.
She was always up for a cup of coffee, often taking Cory on side trips to small mom and pop coffee shops. Her standard and favorite was still Starbucks. Rachel also made time to fit in her “Mom Nights”. Evenings laughing with her close friends.
She is survived by her husband Cory Fagan; three children whom she adored, Emma, Callie and Beckett Fagan; mother Brenda Barton; sister Caitlin (Jared) Tarbert; aunts Dawn Porter, Peggy (Matt) Warren and Patty (Steve) Justice; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and a large circle of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Patrick Kyle and aunt Kay Barton.
Rachel’s family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 3-8 pm at
Crossroads Church Ontario Campus, 636 Lexington Springmill Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist her children with future college expenses. Please make checks payable to Cory Fagan (memo line: Rachel Fagan Memorial Donation).
The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fagan family.
